WATCHTOWER IN A PANIC!

at this years agm where it is expected that most of the faithful will be able to listen to the meeting (being tied in by video), dont be surprised if the wts 8 gb members take part in a symposium delivering some long winded appeal, petition, plea, proposal, proposition, solicitation or otherwise hit-on the masses for $$$ in order to lighten the burden and overuse that many kingdom halls are experiencing.
an acquaintance from the west coast mentioned to me that in late august thru early september of this year that a number of pow-wows involving close to 5,000 elders from numerous areas (riverside, los angeles, ventura and orange counties) took place to drum up financial support from the 800+ (not sure) congregations in those areas.

The WTBTS is NOT a "worldwide brotherhood" - it is a money-making machine which desperately needs more & more 'oil' to keep it running. If it stops or even slows down, it will begin to break down an become useless for its principal purpose. The pressured requests for more of "the fleece from the sheep" will increase over the next 6 - 12 months, especially with regard to the new Anglo-American branches being built! (see what I did there?)
Those still in (who are on here) must raise reasonable questions and concerns regarding these "requests" when they are put before their congregations for approval! Be courageous & strong, and stop the people you love being trampled on and pillaged by the conglomerate!
I guarantee that if you remain silent, your conscience will eat you up, and you will feel like a coward. Prepare your words, heart and mind for the event!

Hi DIS-MEMBER: I now try to keep reminding myself that up until 3 - 4 years ago, I used to be like such ones, till I suddenly began to question what I saw as contradictions/falsehoods in the Org's teachings. So please, everyone, don't condemn the R & F, even Eve was decived - point the finger at the source of the "inspired expressions".
Many of us were dumb & blind once, and thanks to sites like this and their sincerely motivated contributors, many more will come to know TTATT - not by beating them over the head with their gullibility/misplaced trust, but by truthful & factual reasoning. These are the things I look for and am grateful for, on JW.NET. It's OK to have a rant now and then, but everyone needs TTATT presented to them honestly and in a reasonable manner.

What major WTBTS change(s) do you predict for 2014?

(gb), i started to think what major change(s) could the wtbts make to thin the flock and cleanse the congregations of social jws who do not donate or go to meetings.. my premise is that the wtbts is a business, a dangerous cult, and that its printing operations are losing money.

Either combine the Watchtower & Awake into ONE magazine to cut costs, or even better, stop printing the Awake altogether, because it's now surplus to requirements - it quotes Scriptures as much as the Watchtower, almost. Its genre of information could be included in the Public Edition Watchtower without increasing the amount of pages. I think the word which is bandied about in Org conversations is, 'consolidation'; yes, that's it!!
Saves money in many areas. Watch this space.

Yup, those definitions definitely apply to me - I have "stood away from"and have "deserted, abandoned, and rebelled" (cautiously) all the apostate teachings oozing out of the minds of the modern-day Pharisees - our CLERGY, the MASTERS of OUR FAITH, and self-appointed RELIGIOUS LEADERS in NY state.
Any lurkers disagree with this description of the GB? Try and question what they repeatedly force-feed you at meetings etc. and see what happens to you!

i actually held a wt and followed along!
like most here was able to pick out all the lies, deceptions and utter rediculousness of wt trying to say..."we didn't have it right before and we admitt it, but boy, we sure got it right now, even though we never have had anything right before".....you know....so fast forward to dinner with my sadly very mentally ill mother, who for lack of any intellect in the past was a very emotionally, mentally and physically abusive to me and my siblings, and a mental specimen of exactly what wt wants out of its adherents, leans to me and says, "the wt lately has been admitting how they have had things wrong in the past, it really is refreshing to see the changes which tell us how close we are.

When I was enlightening my dear sister about the Menlo Park KH disgrace, she yelled that she didn't want to talk about this, and slammed the 'phone down on me. Haven't heard from her in over a year. True Christianity in action - as ordered by the Brothers Grim/m in Brooklyn!

On their instructions, people willingly "stone to death" anyone who says something remotely critical of the Org!

among them, that the society will rid themselves of 1914 and the literal interpretation of 144,000. several have commented on why this doesn't make sense or is unnecessary, and i agree with their positions.
there is no reason to get rid of 1914...it is a tie that binds the modern to the past.

I agree - A year ago, I warned the present wife that the 'counsel', warnings, and requests for cash from the GB are going to get stronger because of the Org's coming troubles - especially from the INTERNET. I sincerely believe that Bodies of Elders will be put on high alert for anyone who's comments sound 'apostate'. Also, I expect a new reason to D/F people - 'looking with greed at apostate websites'. It'll be classed the same as speaking with a disfellowshipped person.

The WTBTS have always claimed that every Christian in the first century was "anointed". That would add up to countless thousands, considering all the conversions noted in Acts, and the fact that Paul stated the good news had been preached in all creation. (given the exponential growth)

again, this is pure speculation, but it would kind of make sense since the term "new world" is very mason-y, old-time jw-y, and doesn't appear in the bible anyway.. what they would call it, i couldn't even guess..

1. If the NWT title is being dropped, how come news of the new Bible is known by everyone, but not its name?
2. If the new version of the Bible is allegedly only in English, how can the name change in only one language?
